Our Visit

We recently took a quick day trip to FKK Kandarola Beach on Rab Island, and it was an amazing experience! I went with my boyfriend, and we were initially thrown off by the 30 kuna entry fee, but we were told it’s common for private beaches. Once we got in, we quickly realized it was worth every cent!
The drive from the ferry port was scenic and only took about 20 minutes. We were lucky to find a spot on the side of the road, so we didn’t have to pay for parking. From there, it was just a short walk through the beautiful wooded area to the beach. Almost everyone at FKK Kandarola Beach was naked, which made the atmosphere feel very relaxed and natural. Enjoying a cold beer in the buff at the beach bar was definitely a highlight! The bar and restaurant are run by the Jurešić family, who were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food at the restaurant, “Biser Kandarola,” was fantastic, and knowing that they use organically grown vegetables from their own farm made it taste even better. You can read more about the history of the island and check out the restaurant HERE. There were plenty of families at the beach, but it still had a very chill vibe. Most of the kids were hanging out near the slide and swimming pool at the far end of the beach, which kept the main area peaceful for those of us just looking to relax. The water at Kandarola Beach is like glass – so clear and inviting. The beach is well-equipped with sun loungers, parasols, toilets, and showers, making it easy to spend the whole day there comfortably. Whether you’re a seasoned naturist or a first-time nudist, Kandarola Beach is a great place to visit. The friendly atmosphere, stunning views, and excellent facilities make it one of the best nude beaches in Croatia. I highly recommend a visit if you’re on Rab Island! Questions? Comments? Getting There
Kandarola Beach is located on the island of Rab in Croatia, known for its clear waters and lush surroundings. The beach is part of the Frkanj peninsula, near the Valamar Suha Punta hotel complex. From the hotel complex you could also walk to the beach instead of driving, it’s a 15-20 minute walk through the forest to the beach. The walk is scenic and enjoyable, with beautiful views along the way.
By Car:
From the ferry port, drive to the wooded area of Kampor on the Frkanj peninsula, near the Valamar Suha Punta hotel complex. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Mišnjak or 30 minutes from Lopar. There’s free parking available at the beach.
By Water Taxi:
You can also take a water taxi directly from Rab harbor. The ride takes about 15 minutes and is worth it! Taxis run from Rab Harbor and “Škver” Harbor, usually from 8:00 to 12:00 for departures and from 17:00 to 20:00 for returns. Taxis from Rab Harbor go directly to Kandarola Beach, while those from “Škver” Harbor stop at Komunčica Cove. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the beach.
