Posada RiiA is the first 100% Airbnb-only guesthouse in Maragogi - a peaceful, welcoming retreat where only good vibes (and good people) are allowed. Just 200 metres from Barra Grande Beach and walking distance to Antunes Beach and the famous Caminho de Moisés, the guesthouse is surrounded by 1,500 m² of tropical greenery and laid-back charm.
The owners, a passionate couple, created RiiA to be more than just a place to sleep - it’s a space to share, relax, and connect. The atmosphere is playful and open-minded, with a mini-golf course, adult and kids pools, hammocks, and even a calisthenics setup. Topless sunbathing is welcome (but not required) by the pool - a first for the region.
Guests stay in private suites separate from the main house, with full access to shared amenities like the kitchen, BBQ, lounge, and library. Breakfast is included and made fresh to order, featuring eggs, tapioca, cakes, breads, and curd cheese. There’s high-speed Wi-Fi (660 Mbps), parking on site, and a friendly, community-focused vibe where interaction and experience-sharing are encouraged.
Pousada RiiA is close to the stunning beach of Praia Xareu. While this beach isn't a clothing optional beach, there are quiet areas where you can feel more at ease and comfortable.

Getting There
Posada RiiA is tucked into the quiet Barra Grande neighbourhood on the north side of Maragogi, just 200 metres from Barra Grande Beach and about a 15-minute walk along the sand to Praia de Antunes.
You’ve got free street parking right outside on Rua Sirigado, so you can pull up, drop your bags and be on the beach in a couple of minutes.
By Car:
From Maceió (MCZ) it’s around a 2-hour drive (about 120–130 km) north along the AL-101 highway towards Maragogi.
Stay on AL-101 until you reach the Maragogi area, then follow signs for Barra Grande.
Turn towards Barra Grande Beach and follow the local streets until you reach Rua Sirigado; Posada RiiA sits just a short walk back from the sand.
From Recife (REC) , it’s roughly a 2–2.5 hour drive (about 130 km) south via PE-060/AL-101 towards Maragogi.
As you approach Maragogi, watch for the turn-off to Barra Grande.
Follow the coastal road into the village and continue to Rua Sirigado, where you can park on the street near the pousada.
By Public Transport:
From Maceió or Recife, you can take a regional bus to Maragogi (companies like Real Alagoas).
Buses drop you in or near Maragogi town; from there it’s about 10–15 minutes by taxi or rideshare up to Barra Grande and Posada RiiA.
If you prefer things organised in advance, many travellers book a shared minivan or private transfer from the airport straight to Maragogi and then ask to be dropped in Barra Grande near Rua Sirigado.
