The Good
- Unspoiled natural setting: This is one of the few nude beaches in Mykonos that has stayed completely untouched by beach clubs. No music, no rows of loungers, just sand and open sea.
- Soft sandy stretch: Unlike many beaches in the Cyclades, the entire shoreline is sandy. It’s comfortable underfoot and easy to settle into for the whole day.
- Quiet north side location: Being far from the busy southern coast keeps the crowd smaller and the vibe slower. It attracts people who intentionally want to avoid the party scene.
- Naturist friendly areas: The more secluded parts of the beach naturally become clothing optional zones. There’s enough space to spread out and find a more private section.
- Clear clean water: The sea is calm and clear, with a gentle entry that works well for long swims. It’s simple but consistently enjoyable.
- Hidden tavern nearby: A small, tucked away tavern sits above the beach, perfect for a proper meal after swimming. It adds just enough convenience without changing the character of the place.
The Bad
- No beach infrastructure: There are no sunbeds, umbrellas, or built facilities on the beach itself. You are completely on your own once you arrive.
- No public transport access: You cannot reach this beach by bus, which limits access if you don’t have a car or motorbike.
- Walk down access path: Getting to the beach requires walking down a dirt path from the road. It’s not difficult, but it adds effort especially in the heat.
- Strong winds possible: Being on the northern side, it can get windy, which affects both comfort on the beach and water conditions.
- No shade: There are no trees or structures for cover, so sun exposure is constant throughout the day.
- Basic experience only: If you’re expecting service, music, or amenities, this beach will feel too minimal.
The Naked Truth
Agios Sostis is one of the easier places on Mykonos to escape the beach-club side of the island. There are no rows of loungers, no loud music and very little development — just a long sandy beach with plenty of room to spread out.
The naturist crowd tends to gather more toward the quieter end, and it feels pretty natural rather than like a designated nude section. You’ll still see plenty of clothed visitors, especially in busier periods, so it’s more mixed than some of the other nude beaches in Mykonos.
The lack of facilities is both the good and the bad. It keeps the beach relaxed and undeveloped, but you’ll want to bring water, food and anything else you need for the day. If you’re after somewhere simple, spacious and much less polished than the Mykonos stereotype, Agios Sostis is a very good option.
Insider Tip
Bring everything you need for the day including water, food, and shade since there are no rentals on the beach. Park along the road and take the path down early to claim a good spot. If you want more privacy, walk further along the beach away from the main entry point.

Agios Sostis Beach is located on the northern coast of Mykonos in the South Aegean region of Greece.
By car or on foot: Drive toward Agios Sostis and park along the roadside near the beach access point. From there, walk down the path that leads directly to the sand.
By public transport: There is no direct public transport route to Agios Sostis Beach, so access requires a car, motorbike, or taxi.
