Their Description

Welcome to Bare Necessities, our peaceful naturist-only farm stay, located in the heart of the serene Swellendam countryside. Here, we embrace a naturist lifestyle, and all guests are expected to enjoy the property fully clothes-free in public areas (weather permitting), creating a relaxed and inclusive environment for like-minded individuals.

Our accommodations are simple, comfortable, and designed to provide everything you need for a tranquil escape. We offer two en-suite rooms, each with a fully equipped kitchenette, as well as "Da Bus," a unique and charming unit with its own kitchen and bathroom, located 100 meters away. For those who prefer the outdoors, we have campsites on the property where you can connect with nature. Every unit has a private patio and access to BBQ facilities, perfect for outdoor dining with breathtaking mountain and garden views.

On-site, guests can unwind in our solar-heated pool, relax in the sauna, or enjoy evenings by the outdoor fireplace. Whether you're soaking in the hot tub, playing a game of darts, or taking a short nude walk around the farm, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the tranquility of the area. We encourage our guests to make the most of the stunning natural surroundings, with hiking, cycling, and exploring nearby attractions like the Tradouw Pass, Bontebok National Park, and De Hoop Nature Reserve.

Our farm is a social space, where we enjoy hosting meals and sharing the company of fellow naturists. We are proud members of the S.A. Naturist Association, and our property abides by their code of conduct to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and respected. Sustainability is important to us, so we actively recycle materials and maintain a compost system on the farm.

Located just 230 km from Cape Town and close to the historic town of Swellendam, Bare Necessities offers a unique and relaxing naturist experience. Whether you're here for the beautiful views, the peaceful atmosphere, or simply to unwind, we look forward to welcoming you to our little piece of naturist paradise.

Please note: All guests must adhere to our naturist policy, and single men are required to provide proof of affiliation with a recognized naturist association.
