The Good

  • Natural beauty and peace: Paklina Beach in Bol, on the island of Brač, is a secluded naturist haven just west of the famous Zlatni Rat Beach. It’s a peaceful retreat from the crowds, surrounded by rocky cliffs and pine trees, with stunning views toward Hvar Island.
  • Excellent swimming and snorkeling: The water here is crystal clear and teeming with fish, ideal for snorkeling along the rocks. The gradient into the sea is smooth, and visibility underwater is exceptional.
  • Calm, respectful vibe: The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed; a true naturist setting where people come to unwind quietly. Despite being small, it’s rarely overcrowded except during midsummer afternoons.
  • Photogenic views: From certain points, you get postcard-worthy views of the Golden Horn peninsula and the bright turquoise Adriatic waters.

The Bad

  • Limited access: Reaching Paklina requires a short but steep descent through rocky terrain. Proper footwear is recommended.
  • No amenities: The naturist section has no showers, toilets, or bars; visitors should bring everything they need, including water and snacks.
  • Textile encroachment: During the high season, some clothed bathers stray into the FKK zone, which can bother naturists who value privacy.
  • Hot pebbles and waves: The beach’s pebbles heat up quickly in summer, and passing catamarans occasionally create strong waves that can reach belongings near the shore.
Naked Truth

Our Visit

Kasia and Kornel
@naturystka Visited 2025

This beach is an officially designated FKK stretch and is clearly signposted, which immediately makes things feel straightforward and welcoming when you arrive. It effectively feels like a natural extension of Zlatni Rat Beach, continuing west along the coastline. What surprised us most was how varied it is - there are two larger coves that tend to attract most people, followed by a series of smaller, more tucked-away pockets further along. According to the signage, the full nude section runs for around 300 metres, so there’s room to spread out if you’re willing to wander a little.

Underfoot, the beach is mostly made up of fine pebbles that gradually soften into sand the closer you get to Zlatni Rat. It’s comfortable enough that we didn’t feel the need for water shoes, and getting in and out of the water was easy. The mix of pebbles and sand also keeps the water beautifully clear, which made swimming especially enjoyable.

During our visit, naturists were definitely the majority, though we did notice some people in swimsuits, particularly closer to the transition areas. It all felt respectful and relaxed, but this isn’t a beach where you’ll feel particularly hidden. A walking and cycling path runs just above the beach and sees a steady flow of foot traffic, which limits privacy and is something to be aware of if you’re looking for a more secluded nude beach experience.

Access is very easy, which is both a blessing and a drawback. Parking is plentiful but paid (around €10 per day), with no free options nearby, and the Mario campsite sits directly next to the beach. From the town of Bol, it’s a genuinely pleasant walk along the seaside promenade - roughly two kilometres from the port - making it an appealing option if you don’t have a car.

There are no facilities directly on the nude beach itself, so you’ll want to bring water and snacks. That said, everything you need is close by. Restaurants, cafés, and shops are all back along the promenade and near Zlatni Rat, though you’ll need to cover up before heading there. Pine trees grow above the beach and provide some natural shade, particularly in the morning, which is a nice bonus on hotter days.

All up, this is a well-established, easy-access Croatian nude beach that feels ideal for relaxed swimming, sunbathing, and an uncomplicated introduction to FKK beaches. While it doesn’t offer much privacy, its clear signage, comfortable terrain, and proximity to town make it a solid and approachable nude beach option - especially if you’re already spending time in Bol.
