Our Visit

Nude Beach Map. Visited 2025
In 2025, Euronat celebrated an incredible milestone - 50 years as France’s premier naturist destination - and we were thrilled to be part of the festivities. Our home base during the stay was one of the Estuaire accommodations, a spacious and well-equipped rental featuring two cozy bedrooms, a bright living room, a fully furnished kitchen, and a clean, modern bathroom. The outdoor space was a lovely bonus - perfect for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.

Although the weather didn’t exactly cooperate - it was cool and cloudy for much of our trip in May, it didn’t dampen our experience. If anything, it gave us the chance to explore everything Euronat offers beyond the beach. And trust us, there’s a lot.

Euronat is enormous. When you first arrive, it can feel a little overwhelming, like you’ve just entered a naturist village rather than a campground. A bike rental is highly recommended, and you’ll receive a detailed map at check-in to help you get your bearings. Once you start exploring, it all comes together, and you’ll quickly find the vibrant heart of the site: the central square. This lively hub has everything you might need and more. Picture this: a bakery with fresh baguettes and croissants, three grocery stores, five restaurants, a fishmonger, a hair salon, a bookstore, and even souvenir shops. Honestly, you could spend your entire holiday here without ever leaving the grounds.

During our visit, we stumbled upon a classic car show one evening, and it was such a great way to see the community come together. From chatting campers to curious kids, everyone was out enjoying the atmosphere. We’re told this kind of thing happens often, lots of live music, entertainment, and events on the central stage throughout the summer.

One of the highlights of our trip was dinner at La Boîte À Sardines, one of Euronat’s signature restaurants. We opted for the tasting menu, and it was outstanding - fresh, flavorful, and excellent value. I indulged in mussels and fries (the mussels were tender and perfectly cooked), while Matt went classic with steak frites. Both dishes were spot-on, and the service was warm and attentive. If our trip had been longer, we’d have gone back in a heartbeat.

Another standout experience was our spa day at the Thalasso & Spa Center, a true wellness sanctuary inside Euronat. The facility features a heated seawater pool, a cold plunge, saunas, steam rooms, and Turkish baths. You can book full treatments - like facials or massages - which include access to the pools and thermal areas, or you can simply book entry for a day of relaxation. We treated ourselves to massages and made sure to enjoy a long soak in the seawater pool beforehand. Floating effortlessly in the warm, mineral-rich water followed by a tension-melting massage? Pure bliss.

Sadly, the cool weather meant we didn’t get to experience the outdoor pool area, but from what we saw, it’s clearly a summer hotspot, complete with kid-friendly zones and deeper sections for serious swimmers. The same goes for the beach - it’s within easy walking distance from most accommodations, and even on a gray, breezy day, the dunes and expansive shoreline were breathtaking. Missing out on a swim was the only real regret of our stay.

From check-in to check-out, the service at Euronat was exceptional. The staff were friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of the community they’ve built. We also loved the region itself - the drive through coastal Gironde was stunning, and the surrounding pine forests make you feel worlds away from the hustle of everyday life. We visited many wineries that were within a 15 to 20 minute drive away away and they were all exceptional.

We left Euronat feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return - hopefully with better weather next time. Whether you’re a seasoned naturist or a curious first-timer, this iconic destination truly delivers a complete experience: nature, community, wellness, and a little slice of French coastal magic. !

Getting There

Tucked away in a peaceful pine forest along the Atlantic coast, Euronat feels wonderfully remote—but it’s surprisingly accessible. The resort is located on the Médoc peninsula in southwestern France, just north of Montalivet and Soulac-sur-Mer.

By Car:
Euronat is about a 2.5-hour drive from Bordeaux. Take the D1215 north toward Lesparre-Médoc, then follow signs for Montalivet and Grayan-et-l’Hôpital. From there, Euronat is clearly signposted. The drive winds through vineyards and forest—so it’s worth taking your time. Parking is free and easy once you arrive.

By Public Transport:
From Bordeaux, take a regional train to Lesparre or Soulac-sur-Mer. From there, you’ll need to catch a local taxi to the resort (roughly 20–30 minutes). There’s no direct public bus to the resort gates, so a taxi or arranged pickup is recommended.

By Air:
The closest airport is Bordeaux-Mérignac (BOD), which is well-connected with both domestic and international flights. From the airport, renting a car is the most convenient way to reach Euronat, with a drive of approximately 2.5 hours. Alternatively, take a train from Bordeaux city to Lesparre or Soulac-sur-Mer and continue by taxi.
