The Good
- You’re in the right place: FKK markings make it known this is a naturist beach
- The wild: This beach is along a forested area making for some nice shady spots not far from the water
- Easy to get to: Parking was FREE + easy to find and the walk to the beach was flat and not challenging
- Beach bar: The nearby Kokopelli Beach Bar has great food and drinks. Despite it not being on the nude section it is very close by.
The Bad
- Rocks: This is a purely rocky beach so laying down isn’t the most comfortable
- Water entry: Because of the rocky beach walking into the water can be dangerous and painful, bring your water shoes!
The Naked Truth
This is a classic rocky Croatian beach and it is very well attended by locals and truly beautiful if you are prepared for the sharp terrain. The water here is perfectly tepid and it’s a nice spot for a refreshing dip that doesn’t cost you money to park at!
It can be very windy here as the beach is exposed to the south but the view is amazing.
Insider Tip
The shady areas under the trees get scooped up fast. It’s not a bad idea to set up there and maybe have a spot in the sun nearby too.
Who's Here
Lots of locals and tourists. Plenty of singles and families of all ages.
Beach Surface
Pebbles and sharp coral
Access Difficulty
Easy - a very short walk required from the road

If you know what you’re in for, FKK Beach Šimuni is beautiful. The water here is ridiculously clear, it is that perfect shade of blue you only seem to find on the Croatian coast - and the whole place has this quiet, natural charm. But if you’re expecting a wide, sandy stretch to lie on all day, you’ll be disappointed. This is a rocky beach through and through. It’s definitely more of a swimming spot than a lounging one, unless you’ve got a proper chair or mat to lift you off the stones.

We came on a warm June morning and there were already around twenty people scattered across the rocks, most of them locals who clearly know what they’re doing. There’s free parking just above the beach, and it’s easy to get to from Šimuni town - just follow the signs for the camping area and keep going past the main entrance.
What I liked most was how relaxed it felt. You’ll find a mix of sun and shade from the pine trees, and the water is calm and inviting. Really perfect for a long swim or relaxing day. There’s a low-key, respectful FKK vibe here too; everyone keeps to themselves, and it feels totally comfortable whether you’re solo, with a partner, or just curious about trying a nude beach for the first time. There are plenty of nude beaches on Pag Island and this is a solid choice.
All in all, it’s a lovely little spot if you come prepared. Bring water shoes, a chair or thick mat, and don’t expect much sand - this one’s all about the sea, the scenery, and that classic laid-back Adriatic energy. Beware that FKK Beach Šimuni is completely exposed to the south, so if there is a southerly wind it will be very uncomfortable here.

Getting There
FKK Beach Šimuni is an easy win: clear signage around Šimuni & Camping Village Šimuni, free pull-in parking along the dirt road above the coves, and a quick, simple 5-minute walk down to the water. It’s rocky (not sandy), but access is straightforward.
By Car:
Follow signs for Šimuni / Camping Village Šimuni. Continue past the main campsite entrance and use the informal free parking along the dirt road behind the shoreline. From your car, take the obvious footpath down - about 5 minutes to the beach. Regular cars are fine.
By Public Transport:
Take a bus to Šimuni on the main D106 route (services run between Pag and Novalja, with seasonal connections from Zadar). From the Šimuni stop, walk towards Camping Village Šimuni, continue a little past the entrance to the dirt road, then drop down one of the paths to the coves (about 5-10 minutes from the stop, depending where you get off). Taxis can also drop you at the dirt road if timing is awkward.
Bring water shoes and a chair or thick mat because the rocks are beautiful, not cushy.
