Nudity Policy

OPTIONAL

Nudity is optional but common here

The Good

  • Choose your surface: Sand or grass - a rare luxury on a Croatian nude beach. You can lay out on the rocks by the water or retreat to shaded grassy patches behind.
  • Close to amenities: Thanks to the neighbouring textile beach, food and drink vendors are within easy walking distance if you don’t feel like packing everything in.
  • Mostly nude: The nearby campground used to be clothing optional, this made the beach a mostly naturist experience. Fortunately that has continued and we spoke to visitors who still stay here for the naturist beach/

The Bad

  • Narrow beach: The rocky strip isn’t very wide, so it can feel crowded fairly quickly, especially on hot summer days.
  • Parking challenges: The access road is extremely narrow and often shared with people walking to the beach. Parking near the trailhead is limited and can be stressful at peak times. The closest parking near the campsite is not accessible to visitors.
  • Incorrect Location: FKK Gajac on Google or Apple Maps is labelled much further south to a remote area. It might be possible to be naked at this beach but in seperate visit we saw noone. The 'real' FKK Gajac is not labelled on maps.
Naked Truth

The Naked Truth

This is a uniquely wild nude beach on the island of Pag, offering a mix of rocky shoreline and surprisingly lush, grassy areas with natural shade. The water is exactly what you expect from Pag - crystal clear, refreshingly cool, and perfect for a swim on a hot day.

While the beach itself remains nude, the former naturist campground behind it has been converted into a textile campground. As a result, clothed visitors occasionally walk through, which can interrupt the otherwise relaxed vibe, but it hasn’t changed the beach’s naturist identity.

Despite its quirks, this is a fantastic first-timers nude beach. The rock formations naturally separate groups, making it easy to feel comfortable, private, and confidently nude without feeling on display. Suprisingly unlabelled on maps - this beach is a popular Croatian nude beach.

Insider Tip

Boat access is a great alternative if you want to skip the narrow road and parking stress altogether. We saw lots of tourists hiring boats.

Who's Here

Locals and tourists. Mostly younger crowd who were fully nude during our visit.

Beach Surface

Rocky with grassy shaded areas

Access Difficulty

Easy: Flat walk, about five minutes from the parking area

Our Visit

Matt and Megan
Nude Beach Map Visited 2025

We visited on a hot June day and, despite the beach’s narrower width, managed to find a really great spot on the rocks right by the water’s edge. The rocky formations here work in your favour - they naturally break the beach into small pockets, so even with other people nearby, it still felt like we had our own little section of coastline.

We visited on a hot June day and, despite the beach’s narrower width, managed to find a really great spot on the rocks right by the water’s edge. The rocky formations here work in your favour - they naturally break the beach into small pockets, so even with other people nearby, it still felt like we had our own little section of coastline.

The crowd during our visit was mostly younger, a mix of locals and tourists, and everyone around us was nude. The vibe was relaxed and social without being intrusive, and it never felt awkward or uncomfortable, even for anyone visiting a nude beach for the first time. The crystal-clear water typical of Pag was a big highlight for us, especially on such a warm day. The temperature was refreshing without being shocking, making it perfect for frequent dips.

One thing worth noting is that you do walk through the textile section of the beach first to get here. That’s where you’ll find food and drink vendors, which is convenient if you need them, though we opted to bring our own supplies and settle in for the afternoon. While the nude section itself felt distinctly separate, we did notice the occasional clothed person walking through, likely due to the nearby textile campground that used to be a naturist site. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s something to be aware of.

Getting here was slightly more effort than expected. Like other FKK beaches on the island of Pag, Google Maps wasn’t especially helpful, and the final access road was extremely narrow, often shared with pedestrians heading to and from the beach. Parking was limited, but once we found a spot, the walk down was flat and easy.

We also noticed a few people arriving by boat, which honestly looked like the dream option - especially if you want to skip the road entirely. All up, this beach left us with a really positive impression: wild, scenic, welcoming, and surprisingly forgiving for first-timers thanks to its natural layout and easygoing crowd. A highlight of visit to Pag Island nude beaches and a great Croatian nude beach experience!

Getting There

This nude beach isn’t marked on Google or Apple Maps, which can make it tricky to find the first time. It’s located next to Camping Straško, but there is no public access through the campground, so attempting to enter from there won’t work.

The most reliable landmark to use is the dog beach, which is the closest accurate pin on both Google and Apple Maps. From there, you simply continue along the coast into the nude section.

By Car:
Drive to Gajac and park on the small residential streets near the textile beach. Parking is limited but usually manageable outside peak hours. From the parking area, it’s a flat, easy walk of about five minutes.

Be prepared for a very narrow access road, often shared with pedestrians heading to and from the beach, especially during summer.

On Foot:
If you’re staying in Gajac, walk to the right along the coastline, passing the dog beach. Keep following the shore and you’ll naturally arrive at the nude beach area.

By Boat:
Arriving by boat is a great option if you have access to one. Several visitors anchor offshore and swim in, avoiding parking and walking altogether.
