Getting There
Kleiner Pönitzer See is located near Scharbeutz in northern Germany, about 20 to 30 minutes from Lübeck and roughly six minutes inland from the Baltic Sea coast.
By Car:
From Scharbeutz or Lübeck, follow directions toward Großer Pönitzer See or the nearby campsite area. As you approach the larger lake, look for a small side road or farm track branching off the main road toward Kleiner Pönitzer See. This narrow access road leads directly to the smaller lake. Parking is available nearby, and from there it is only a short walk to the water. Well-used trails also connect Kleiner Pönitzer See to Großer Pönitzer See.
By Public Transportation:
Public transportation can take you as far as Scharbeutz or Pönitz, but there is no direct transit to Kleiner Pönitzer See itself. From the nearest station, visitors typically walk, bike, or take a short taxi ride to reach the lake. Once in the area, the paths between the lakes are easy to follow on foot.
