- Crowded during summer: July and August can get very busy, especially near midday when locals and resort guests fill every spot. Towels left out to reserve spaces are a recurring complaint.

- Shade is limited later in the day: The pine trees help early on, but by noon the beach is mostly exposed, so bring extra sun protection.

That said, Kovacine has evolved from a quiet cove into a well-oiled seaside hub. The charm is still there like other nude beaches in Croatia; the shade, the calm water, the easygoing crowd, but so are the crowds and rising prices. Arrive early, pack lightly, and expect a mix of naturist tradition and family camping culture. It’s a good introduction for first-time nudists who prefer organization over isolation.

Arrive before 10:30 AM to secure a shaded spot under the pines. For more peace, head toward the northern end of the beach where the official FKK section begins.

Getting There
Kovacine FKK Beach is located within Kovacine Camping Resort, at the northern edge of Cres Town on Cres Island, Croatia.
By Public Transport: No direct buses reach the beach, but you can take a local bus or taxi to Cres Town, then walk or cycle approximately 40 minutes along the coastal path to the resort.
By Car: From Cres Town, follow signs toward Kovacine Camping Resort. Visitor parking is available just outside the campsite gates. From there, walk along the promenade northward for about 10 minutes until you reach the marked FKK section at the far end of the beach.
