Getting There
Lake Como is located just north of Tampa in Land O’ Lakes, and getting there is pretty straightforward - this isn’t one of those hard-to-find, middle-of-nowhere spots. Once you’re off the main highways, it’s a short drive through a quiet residential area before you arrive at the entrance.
By Car:
Driving is the easiest option. From Tampa, it’s about a 30–40 minute drive depending on traffic, and roughly an hour from Tampa International Airport. You’ll head up I-75 or the Veterans Expressway before cutting across toward Land O’ Lakes. Roads are well-maintained and easy to follow, and GPS will take you right to the front gate.
There’s parking available on-site, and as this is a private resort, you’ll need to check in at reception on arrival. It’s worth arranging your visit in advance rather than just turning up.
By Public Transport:
Public transport isn’t very practical. There are limited bus routes heading north from Tampa, but they don’t get you close enough to walk. If you’re not driving, your best bet is to take an Uber or taxi from Tampa or the airport for the final leg.
