Our Visit

There’s a first time for everything and, for us nude beach reviewers, this was our first naturist campground visit that did not have a beach nearby. And yet, we left feeling relaxed, refreshed and wanting to come back again in the future.

There’s a first time for everything and, for us nude beach reviewers, this was our first naturist campground visit that did not have a beach nearby. And yet, we left feeling relaxed, refreshed and wanting to come back again in the future.
Located in the middle of southern France between Toulouse and Bordeaux, this small campground offers a sense of community and relaxing. It has campsites and rental spaces available. We were hosted in one of their mobile homes and found it was equipped with everything we could need: a bathroom, two bedrooms, a fully furnished kitchen and comfortable living and outdoor spaces.
Since there is only room for around 60 parties to camp or rent space, there is a real sense of community here. There is the opportunity to gather for dinner at the main check in area where the hosts sometimes offer a dinner for purchase. One of the nights we were there, they had bbqs available to grill our own meat and the hosts offered unlimited french fries for a small price.
There is also a fire pit where there can be gathering and music in the evenings. We visited during a particularly hot few days so the fire pit wasn’t put to use unfortunately.
There is a heated pool which was much-used during our stay. There is bread and some groceries available for purchase at the front counter so we did need to go off site to get groceries but there are stores within a 15 minute’s drive.
During our visit it was mostly retirees also staying at the campground but understand there are more families that come during the summer break season.
The owners of the campground are so welcoming and accommodating. We are already planning our return to this stunning piece of paradise.

Getting There
Le Clos Barrat sits in the quiet Quercy countryside between Cahors and Agen, surrounded by vineyards, oak woods, and rolling lanes. The approach is calm and scenic; roads are well-signposted, and the last few kilometers are on narrow country lanes - take it slow and enjoy the view.
By Car:
From Cahors (35–40 min): Follow the D653 toward Montcuq, then continue via local D-roads toward Sérignac/Le Clos Barrat (look for campsite signs in the final kilometers).
From Agen (50–60 min): Take the D656 toward Tournon-d’Agenais/Montcuq, then follow signs for Sérignac; the campsite lane is signposted near the village.
From Toulouse (TLS) Airport (≈1h45–2h): A62 toward Agen and exit for Valence-d’Agen/Agen then D-roads to Montcuq, then follow signs to Sérignac/Le Clos Barrat.
Tip: The final approach is a rural lane—arrive in daylight if you can. On-site parking is available next to pitches/rentals.
By Public Transport:
Train to Cahors (Intercités from Paris Austerlitz; TER from Toulouse) or to Agen (TGV from Paris Montparnasse). From Cahors a taxi is ~35–40 minutes; from Agen ~50–60 minutes. Regional buses to Montcuq exist but are infrequent and most guests find it easiest to rent a car at Cahors or Agen, or pre-book a taxi for the last leg.
