Nude Beach Map. Visited 2023
Paradise Beach is this chill Greek nude beach oasis tucked next to a bustling textile beach. Believe it or not, the whole stretch used to welcome the clothing-free crowd, but these days they’ve been nudged over to the rocks (plus a small section of sand). We could get all riled up about this change, but let’s save that rant for later. The tiny sandy beach that’s left? It’s quaint, brimming with character, and attracts some of the coolest travelers in Thasos. Maybe we’re a tad biased, but everyone we met here was nothing but friendly and relaxed. Think European couples on vacation and locals unwinding after work – just the perfect laidback vibe.

There are reports of other specific nude beaches in Thasos but we couldn’t find any that were populated with nude beachgoers. Paradise Beach is the main nude beach in Thasos. As is the deal in this part of the world, remote beaches are fair game to strip off if no one is around. So just because we didn’t see anyone else on the island doesn’t mean a beach won’t become an impromptu ‘nude beach’ – obviously be respectful and choose the beach wisely!
Paradise Beach is definitely an organised nude beach (without facilities) but there is a sign spray-painted on the rocks saying ‘nude only’. We had a little trouble finding the beach because there isn’t a great description online – so we’ll save you the hassle and you can check out the directions here. While the scramble across the rocks is a little tricky it is definitely worth it. Most people here have picnics and bring drinks to the beach, but you can also grab some food at nearby Nikos Grill. The food we got was tasty but expensive for Thasos, but given the location there aren’t any other options!
Water shoes are recommended if you want to stroll on the rocks or access the water from that side of the beach. We avoided this an just swam in the sandy beach area, which is easy to do. The sand is so soft and it is an easy walk out to the deep section. Weirdly this is in direct view of the textile beach but no one seemed to care and we definitely didn’t. We saw a few families walk over the rocks before discovering it is a nude beach, only to retreat with their kids back to the textile section. Their loss!
We stayed at Studios Niki which are inexpensive but clean apartments located a short 10 minute walk from the beach. The Greek owners were very friendly and welcomed us like family. However even if you’re not staying right next to the beach it should be easy to get to from Loutra – most people at the beach are staying further along the coast.
If you’re in Thasos, Paradise Beach is a must-visit destination. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of the main beach, it’s a refreshing spot where groups, couples, and families, including many Greeks, come to enjoy sans clothing. It truly feels like a world away!

Getting There
Paradise Beach is conveniently located not far from Loutra. While getting there is easiest by car, walking is also an option, but be prepared for a steep descent from the main road to reach the beach. Once parked, you'll find a short 5-10 minute walk to your desired spot on the beach.
By Car:
- Option 1: Coming from Loutra, take the first turnoff at the white Nikos Grill + Paradise Beach sign. It's a sharp turn off the main road and follows a steep descent. Parking is generally available on the lower levels closer to the beach. Look for the rough trail leading to the rocky beach, then turn right to reach the sandy beach section.
- Option 2: Alternatively, you can park at the southern end of the beach by taking the second turnoff with the purple Paradise Beach sign. This dirt road is steeper, but more parking is usually available at the bottom. From there, walk the entire length of the textile beach past Nikos Grill, then traverse the rocky headland to the sandy beach. Be careful on the descent, as it can be slippery when wet.
By Public Transportation:
Some local hotels and resorts may provide transportation to the beach upon request. Though taxis can be hard to come by in Thasos, the fare to Paradise Beach should be reasonable from most southern parts of the island.
