Nudity Policy

OPTIONAL

Nudity is optional (right/eastern end, from blockhouse to large rock formation)

The Good

  • Gorgeous North Brittany setting: Long, elegant sand with emerald water, rock formations, headland views, and a calm, natural atmosphere. One of the most beautiful naturist beaches near Saint-Malo.
  • Clear textile–naturist harmony: Left side: textile. Right side: naturist. Separation is natural and respectful, divided by a large rock boundary and extending toward the blockhouse at the eastern end. Easy coexistence.
  • Spacious, breathable, and scenic: Even on busy days, plenty of room to spread out without crowding. At low tide the beach becomes wide, flat, and perfect for long walks.
  • A naturist favorite: Friendly, relaxed crowd. Up to 300 naturists gather on hot days, often families, couples, locals, and regulars. Soft social vibe with no pressure. it regularly makes the lists of best naturist beach in France.

The Bad

  • Access can be tricky: Paths down to the naturist side can be steep, uneven, and slippery. Not ideal for mobility issues or families with very young children. Some visitors mistakenly enter through dune shortcuts and get surprised by nudity.
  • Parking challenges: In high season or on sunny weekends, parking becomes difficult. Arriving early or being patient is key.
  • Occasional behavior issues: A minority of naturists become territorial about specific spots, especially long-time regulars. Rare voyeurism near rock coves on busy days.
  • Steep shoreline: Water deepens quickly near the naturist side, which may be unsafe for small children. The right side is also unsupervised.
Naked Truth

The Naked Truth

Plage des Chevrets is one of the jewels of the north coast; wild, elegant, spacious, and loved by both clothed and naturist visitors. It offers a beautiful balance: families and swimmers on the left, naturists on the right, separated by a natural rock marker that keeps everyone comfortable. Locals love it for its calm atmosphere, clean sand, and gorgeous scenery.

Naturism here is well-tolerated and widely practiced. On warm days, the right-hand side buzzes pleasantly with a mix of families, couples, older regulars, and visitors from nearby campgrounds. The views toward the headlands and the dunes above the restaurant give this beach a magical feel. A perfect place to enjoy a Brittany summer day; as free or as dressed as you like.

Insider Tip

Take the GR coastal trail behind the campsite for the safest access to the naturist end; it avoids the steepest descent paths. If you want extra privacy, go past the main naturist cluster toward the large rock group where the beach widens again.

Who's Here

Families on the textile side; naturists on the right; friendly crowd with locals, couples, regulars, and some LGBTQ+ presence near the rock cove. Mostly respectful, with occasional lone men but generally safe and calm.

Beach Surface

Fine sand, emerald water, wide tide-dependent beach, rocky boundary between sections. Steeper slope near naturist part; unsupervised on the right. Clean, natural setting.

Access Difficulty

Moderate: several descent paths; some steep or uneven. Easier approach via GR trail behind the campsite. Not ideal for limited mobility; a short walk from the parking lot is required.
