The Naked Truth
Platja de Castell is one of the standout beaches near Palamós, offering a classic Costa Brava experience with golden sand, clear water, and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere. It strikes a balance between natural beauty and convenience, making it popular with both locals and visitors.
While not purely a naturist beach, it maintains a laid-back and open vibe typical of many Spanish nude coastal beaches. The crowd is a mix of families, couples, and locals, and the environment is generally friendly and respectful. Nudity is mostly common on the right hand side (when facing the beach).
The beach’s charm comes from its setting; pine trees, open space, and views that feel less commercialized than nearby tourist hubs. Even during busier periods, the beach is wide enough to still find your own space, especially if you visit at the right time.
Insider Tip
Visit on weekdays or later in the afternoon during peak season to avoid crowds and enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.
