Naturism expected here

The Good

  • Official Naturist Identity: Platja del Torn is one of Catalonia's best known naturist beaches, not just a quiet corner where naturism happens informally. The main naturist area runs along the beach itself, especially the central and southern stretches below the pine-backed cliffs.
  • Protected Natural Setting: The beach sits inside the Rojala-Platja del Torn protected natural area. Pine trees, cliffs, and Mediterranean scrub surround the sand, so the place feels wild even though L'Hospitalet de l'Infant is close by.
  • Long Sandy Shoreline: This is not a tiny hidden cove. The beach is long enough for visitors to spread out, with plenty of space for walking, sunbathing, and settling into a quieter patch.
  • Naturist Campsite Nearby: El Templo del Sol naturist campsite sits above the beach, which gives Torn a real naturist community feel. Many visitors come for more than a quick stop and treat the beach as part of a longer naturist holiday.
  • Clear Mediterranean Water: The water is usually calm and clear compared with rougher Atlantic beaches. It is a good place for relaxed swimming when sea conditions are gentle.
  • Coastal Views: The Illot del Torn and the surrounding cliffs give the beach a strong visual identity. The view from the access paths above the sand is part of the experience.

The Bad

  • Not Fully Remote: The nearby naturist campsite and beach access points mean it can feel busier than a truly hidden wild beach. In high summer, the atmosphere is relaxed but not isolated.
  • Parking Pressure: The beach parking areas can fill during July and August, especially on weekends. Arriving late can mean walking farther under strong sun.
  • Seasonal Services: Toilets, beach bars, and other conveniences are mainly seasonal. Outside peak months, visitors should not count on many facilities being open.
  • Exposed Sun: There is little shade directly on the sand. The pine-covered areas sit behind or above the beach, so you need your own shade if staying for hours.
  • Windy Days: The Costa Daurada can get windy, and Torn is not always perfectly sheltered. On those days, sand can blow across towels and swimming may feel less inviting.
  • Train Line Nearby: The railway runs inland behind the area. It does not ruin the beach, but the occasional train sound breaks the otherwise natural setting.
Naked Truth

The Naked Truth

Platja del Torn is one of those beaches that gets naturism right. No searching for a hidden corner or wondering whether it's okay to strip off. This beautiful stretch of Mediterranean coastline has a long naturist tradition, and being naked here is completely normal. The central and southern sections are particularly popular with naturists, giving the beach a friendly, relaxed atmosphere without feeling overcrowded or overly organised.

What really sets Torn apart is the scenery. Golden sand, clear blue water, pine-covered hills and rugged cliffs make this one of the most picturesque Spanish nude beaches. There's also the convenience of nearby parking, seasonal facilities and a well-established naturist campsite overlooking the beach. It's a great combination of natural beauty and comfort, without losing that wonderfully laid-back Mediterranean feel. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned naturist, Platja del Torn is an easy beach to recommend. We'd happily spend an entire day here!

Insider Tip

Go early in the morning if visiting in July or August, especially if you are driving. Bring water, sunshade, sandals for the hot paths, and cash or card for seasonal beach bars. Stay within the established beach area, respect the protected dunes and vegetation, and settle around the central or southern stretch if you want the most naturist atmosphere.

Who's Here

You'll mostly find Spanish and European naturists, campsite guests, couples, solo regulars, and relaxed beach walkers who know Torn as a classic Costa Daurada naturist spot.

Beach Surface

The beach is mostly golden sand with some darker patches, small stones near parts of the shore, and rockier edges close to the headlands.

Access Difficulty

Easy to moderate, depending on where you park, with signed paths leading down from the parking and campsite area toward the sand.
