Nudity Policy
OPTIONALNudity expected and common
The Good
- Deep seclusion feel: This beach sits away from the main Morro Jable stretch, hidden beneath cliffs. It’s one of those places where you can spend hours without seeing many people.
- Naturist friendly space: Nudity is the norm here rather than the exception. The isolation naturally creates a comfortable environment for it.
- Wind sheltered cove: The cliffs protect the beach from strong winds, which is rare in this part of Fuerteventura. It makes the water calmer and the stay more comfortable.
- Quiet alternative to Morro Jable: Compared to the busy main beach nearby, this feels like a completely different world. It’s slower, quieter, and far less commercial.
- Raw untouched setting: No development, no structures, just sand, rock, and ocean. It keeps the experience simple and grounded.
- Cliffside views: Looking down from above gives you a dramatic view of the coastline before you even reach the sand.
The Bad
- Officially closed access: The beach is technically closed due to landslide risk, which means entry paths are not maintained or guaranteed safe.
- Difficult descent: Getting down involves a rough and unstable path. It requires care and proper footing, especially on the way back up.
- No safe clear route: Some paths are blocked or unclear, and others pass near restricted areas. You need to navigate carefully.
- No facilities at all: There are no toilets, no food, no water, and no shade. You must be fully prepared.
- Less visually striking than nearby beaches: Compared to the wide golden beaches of Morro Jable, this one feels more rugged and less polished.
- Potential safety risk: Loose rocks and cliffs mean you always need to stay aware of your surroundings.
The Naked Truth
Las Coloradas feels like a place that exists just outside the official map. You see it from above first, a quiet strip of sand tucked under cliffs, separated from everything else. The effort to get there sets the tone. It’s not meant to be easy, and that’s exactly why it stays so empty.
Once you’re down, the atmosphere is calm and unbothered. There’s no movement except the sea and the occasional person passing through. Naturism fits here naturally, not as a feature but as part of the silence. You don’t stay for activities or comfort. You stay because it feels like nothing is asking anything from you. This is a great option for a nude beach in the Canary Islands.
Insider Tip
Go early in the day when the light is softer and the climb is easier to manage. Wear proper shoes for the descent and bring plenty of water since there’s nothing available below. Always check conditions before going down, especially if the ground looks unstable.
Who's Here
Mostly naturists, a few adventurous travelers, and people deliberately avoiding the main beach crowd.
Beach Surface
A mix of sand and small stones with some rougher patches closer to the cliffs.
Access Difficulty
Difficult and potentially risky due to unstable paths and the officially closed access routes.
