The Good

- No facilities at all: No toilets, food, bins, or services — fully wild conditions.
- Water quality concerns: The Vistula here is not always clean, and swimming can feel questionable to some visitors.
- Sun exposure: Very little shade once you reach the sand.
- Navigation confusion: Maps sometimes point to the wrong side of the river or incorrect entry points.
The Naked Truth
Plaża Wilanów is less of a polished beach and more of a raw, urban wilderness experience. The wide sandy banks are impressive and genuinely feel like a coastal environment, but the river water isn’t always inviting, and access can be messy depending on conditions. Some days it feels peaceful and remote, while other times crowds show up, especially during hot weather.
Clothing-optional use happens unofficially, mostly in quieter sections away from main paths. It’s not a designated naturist beach, but locals are generally relaxed about it. If you come expecting clear water and facilities, you’ll likely be disappointed; but if you want nature close to the city, it can be surprisingly enjoyable. Plaża Wilanów is the most well known nude beach in Warsaw and a great addition to nude beaches in Poland.

Getting There
Plaża Wilanów is located along the eastern bank of the Vistula River near Warsaw’s Wilanów district.
By Car: Drive toward Wilanów or nearby river access roads (often around Wał Zawadowski area). Park where allowed near the forest edge, then continue on foot toward the river.
By Foot: From parking or nearby residential areas, follow forest trails toward the Vistula. Expect a 15–30 minute walk depending on entry point.
By Public Transportation: Buses run to Wilanów district from central Warsaw. From the nearest stop, continue walking toward the river and follow trails through the wooded area to reach the beach.
