The Good
- Hidden riverside spot: Tucked inside the woods along the Adda River, this is a quiet and discreet location that feels removed from the city despite being near Milan. It has a secluded charm that makes it easy to switch off.
- Natural river setting: The beach is small and raw, with a simple shoreline shaped by the river rather than built infrastructure. The flowing water and surrounding greenery create a peaceful, almost untouched atmosphere.
- Mixed crowd vibe: The beach attracts a mix of naturists and swimsuit visitors, with a noticeable queer-friendly presence. It tends to feel open and accepting without being overly defined by one group.
- Escape from the city: Its proximity to Milan makes it a convenient nature break. Within a short trip, you can find yourself somewhere that feels far more remote than it actually is.
- Quiet sunbathing: The area allows for relaxed nudity without much interference. It is one of those unofficial places where people keep to themselves and respect the space.
The Bad
- Powerful river current: The Adda here can be dangerous. The main channel has a strong current and rapids, and river levels can change considerably. A.N.ITA. advises bathing only in the sheltered bend on the left side of the beach and avoiding the main current altogether.
- No official status: This is not a designated naturist beach, so there are no services or formal protections for the space.
- Tricky to find: Reaching the beach requires navigating through wooded paths and staying on the correct trail, which can be confusing for first-time visitors.
- Limited space: The beach itself is small, so it can feel crowded if more people arrive.
- No amenities at all: There are no toilets, food options, or facilities, so you need to be fully prepared before arriving.
The Naked Truth
Spiaggia Naturista di Porto d’Adda is a small, informal naturist spot beside the river, reached through a wooded area rather than via a developed beach entrance.
The setting is basic, with a small clearing and limited space for sunbathing. There are no real facilities, so bring everything you need and don’t expect the comfort of a traditional beach.
The river can be strong, so this is not the best place if swimming is your main priority. Most people come here to sunbathe, relax and spend time by the water rather than for a full beach-day setup.
The naturist atmosphere is established but low-key, and the area feels more secluded than many urban nude spots.
If you’re happy with a simple, unofficial naturist location and don’t mind the lack of facilities, Porto d’Adda is worth checking out.
Insider Tip
Follow the bike path until you see the entrance into the woods, then keep right as you move deeper along the trail. Wear proper footwear for the uneven ground and bring everything you need for the day. It is best visited in warm weather when the sun reaches the clearing, but avoid going too late if you want a quieter spot. The is a great inland spot for a nude beach in Italy.
Who's Here
Primarily local naturists, including members of established naturist associations, alongside occasional clothed visitors, walkers and cyclists using the surrounding Adda trails. The mix varies considerably depending on the day.
Beach Surface
A small natural riverbank with earth, stones, and patches of sand shaped by the current.
Access Difficulty
Moderate, requiring a walk or bike ride followed by a short forest path to reach the beach.

Getting There
Spiaggia Naturista di Porto d’Adda is located along the Adda River near Porto d'Adda, Lombardy, Italy, not far from Milan.
By car: Head to Porto d’Adda, a hamlet of Cornate d’Adda. Parking is available in the village and on streets near the cemetery. A.N.ITA. advises against leaving the car in the cemetery parking area because of parking restrictions. From the cemetery, follow the cobbled path downhill through the woods for around 10 minutes until you reach the towpath near the Madonna della Rocchetta. Turn left, pass the Stallazzo, and after roughly 100 metres take the path on the right, which descends steeply toward the river and the beach.
By public transport: The nearest useful railway station is Paderno-Robbiate. From there, continue toward the Adda and the Porto d’Adda/Stallazzo area on foot, by bicycle or local bus. The Z313 bus also serves Porto d’Adda and Paderno d’Adda station. Allow additional walking time to reach the riverside beach..
