Nudity Policy

OPTIONAL

Nudity is optional but expected (well-known naturist beach)

The Good

  • One of the best-known naturist beaches in northern Poland: Stogi Naturist Beach is widely recognized as Gdańsk’s primary non-textile beach. On warm days, nudity is common and generally accepted without issue.
  • Wide, clean, and natural: The beach is broad with white sand, backed by dunes and pine forest, creating a feeling of space and separation from the city.
  • Calm and relaxing atmosphere: Many visitors describe the sound of the Baltic Sea and the cool coastal breeze as deeply soothing. It’s an easy place to disconnect, making it one of the best naturist beach in Poland.
  • Mixed crowd: You’ll find men, women, couples, and occasional families, especially closer to the main walking areas. Most people keep to themselves.
  • Forest access adds charm: Reaching the beach through shaded forest trails makes the arrival feel peaceful and scenic.

The Bad

  • Long walk from transport: From the tram or bus stop, the walk is long, and the dry sand can be tiring. Walking closer to the water on wet sand is much easier.
  • No amenities at all: There are no toilets, shops, showers, or rentals. You must bring everything and take everything back with you.
  • Activity varies by area: Some sections near the dunes are known for adult-only social behavior. These areas are avoidable but may be uncomfortable for families or first-time visitors if you wander unknowingly.
  • Safety concerns raised by some visitors: A small number of reviews mention unwanted attention in certain dune areas. Staying on the open beach and avoiding isolated sections helps avoid this.
Naked Truth

The Naked Truth

Stogi Naturist Beach is the real deal: this is where people come specifically to be naked, not to “test the idea.” On warm days, nudity is normal, visible, and mostly relaxed, especially along the open shoreline. The beach itself is big enough that you don’t feel crowded, and if you stay near the water and the main walking line, the atmosphere is calm, casual, and genuinely naturist rather than performative.

That said, this is not a curated or controlled naturist environment. Certain dune-adjacent areas attract more adult-oriented behavior, which can feel uncomfortable if you wander without knowing. First-timers or anyone wanting a stress-free experience should stay in the open, central sections and avoid isolated dune paths. Bring everything you need, keep your expectations realistic, and you’ll find it peaceful; but it does require awareness and self-direction. Stogi Naturist Beach is often recognised as the best nude beach in Poland.

Insider Tip

If you want a calm, first-time-friendly experience, stay between entrances 23 and 22, closer to the open shoreline. The dunes farther away tend to attract different activity.

Who's Here

A diverse mix of naturists, locals, tourists, solo visitors, couples, and LGBTQ+ travelers. The beach is popular on sunny weekends and holidays.

Beach Surface

Fine white sand, with shallow water near shore that can feel slightly warmer. Dunes and vegetation provide natural privacy.

Access Difficulty

Moderate: Easy once you arrive, but the walk in requires time and energy.

Getting There

Stogi Naturist Beach is located east of Gdańsk, near the Stogi district, along the Baltic coast.

By Car: Drive toward Stogi Beach and park near the forest edge at the designated or informal parking areas close to the barriers. From there, walk 15–20 minutes through the pine forest to reach the main beach, then continue along the shoreline until you reach the naturist section.

By Foot: From the main Stogi Beach entrances, walk east along the shoreline toward the less crowded sections. Walking on the wet sand close to the waterline is much easier than crossing dry sand, especially over longer distances.

By Public Transport: Take tram 3 or 8 to the Stogi Plaża terminus, or bus 111 toward Stogi. From the final stop, follow the marked forest paths toward the beach, then walk approximately 1 kilometer along the shore to reach the naturist area.
