We are an adults-only boutique hotel located beside the legendary beach of Zipolite, Oaxaca. Here, we offer a unique atmosphere, refined design, and attentive, personalized service. Villa Aikia is eco-friendly and fiercely LGBTQ+ committed.
Our 18 ocean-view suites all face the Pacific and the famous Roca Blanca. Each room is individually decorated with art, antiques, and distinctive pieces sourced from around the world, combined with contemporary furnishings and high-quality finishes. The result is a blend of Mexico, Oaxaca, Mediterranean warmth, and European sophistication.
Among our 18 suites, two hold superior category status and one stands as our proud Presidential Suite, featuring two floors, two bathrooms, a spacious living area, and a king-size bed.
Life at Villa Aikia moves at the rhythm of dolce far niente — the sweetness of doing nothing. Days are spent between private terraces (each with a hammock), and social moments around our central infinity pool, the heart of the property.
Our restaurant offers a fusion of national and international cuisine with a distinctive touch you’ll only find here. From exquisite breakfasts to unforgettable dinners - whether in our restaurant, on your private terrace, or with a romantic dinner by the beach - each meal is designed as an experience. We recommend our signature mezcal margarita, a house favourite not to be missed.
For those not staying with us, our Aikia Day Pass allows guests to enjoy the magic of the property - whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying a massage on the terrace, swimming in our semi-private beach area, or joining a yoga or meditation session.
Villa Aikia welcomes guests from Mexico and around the world, many from Europe, creating a vibrant yet relaxed international atmosphere.

Getting There
Getting to Villa Aikia feels like part of the adventure. Zipolite sits on Oaxaca’s wild Pacific coast — a little remote, but absolutely worth it. The final stretch winds through jungle hills before opening up to ocean views. Once you arrive in Zipolite village, the hotel is easy to find and just steps from the beach.
By Car:
If you're flying in, the closest airport is Huatulco International Airport (HUX) — about 45–60 minutes away by car.
From Huatulco Airport:
Follow signs toward Puerto Ángel / Zipolite.
The drive is scenic but curvy through the Sierra Madre hills. Roads are paved and in good condition, but expect winding sections.
Parking is available near the property, though space can be limited during high season. If you're renting a car, smaller vehicles are easier to manage in Zipolite’s narrow streets.
From Oaxaca City:
The drive takes around 6–7 hours via Highway 175.
It’s a mountainous, winding route - beautiful but not ideal at night.
By Public Transport:
From Huatulco Airport:
You can take a taxi directly to Villa Aikia (most convenient option).
Shared airport shuttles run to nearby towns like Puerto Ángel — from there it’s a short taxi ride to Zipolite.
From Oaxaca City:
Take an overnight or daytime bus to Pochutla (approximately 10 hours).
From Pochutla, local taxis or colectivos will take you to Zipolite in about 20 minutes.
Once in Zipolite village, Villa Aikia is within walking distance of the main beach strip, though you may need a short taxi if arriving with luggage.
