The Good
- Beautiful Bay: A wide curved bay with turquoise, crystal-clear water and views of the surrounding Corsican mountains.
- Fine White Sand: The beach features very light, soft sand with shallow water that stays warm and calm.
- Naturist Section: The southern end of the beach is generally used by naturists, while the northern area remains textile.
- Great for Water Activities: Calm and shallow water makes it ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, and kayaking along the coast toward Île de Pinarellu.
- Easy Access: Free shaded parking is available along the nearby road, making it easy to reach the beach.
- Snorkeling and Exploration: Reefs near the beach and a small wreck about two meters deep offer interesting spots to explore.
The Bad
- Crowded in Summer: The beach has narrowed over time and can become busy during peak tourist season.
- Limited Shade: Natural shade is scarce, so visitors should bring umbrellas or sun protection.
- Mixed Beach Atmosphere: The division between naturist and textile areas is not always respected by visitors.
- Seaweed and Rocks: Some seaweed deposits appear along the sand, and rounded stones are present in parts of the water.
- Dogs Not Allowed: The restriction on dogs may be inconvenient for some visitors.
The Naked Truth
Plage de Villata offers a mix of naturist and textile beach culture along a scenic stretch of Corsica’s coastline. The southern portion of the beach is commonly used by naturists, while the northern section is mostly frequented by clothed visitors. Although the separation generally works, some overlap between the two areas can occur during busy periods.
The setting is one of the beach’s biggest attractions. The bay curves gently along the coastline, framed by rocks at both ends and backed by dunes from the nearby Camping Villata. The water remains shallow for a long distance, creating warm and calm swimming conditions that many visitors enjoy.
Naturists tend to gather toward the quieter southern side, where the atmosphere is more relaxed. Even with some seasonal crowds, the beach still offers beautiful scenery, warm water, and a laid-back environment that appeals to both locals and travelers. This is a great nude beach Corsica that is worth seeking out.
Insider Tip
Walk along the coastal path south of the beach for about 10 minutes to find a smaller, quieter beach with fewer visitors.
Who's Here
Visitors include campers from nearby Camping Villata, local beachgoers, naturists, families, and travelers exploring the Corsican coastline.

Getting There
Plage de Villata is located along Corsica’s southeastern coastline near Pinarellu, not far from Porto-Vecchio. The beach sits beside the large Camping Villata area and can be reached easily from the coastal road running along the bay.
By Car: Drive toward Pinarellu or Camping Villata from Porto-Vecchio and follow the coastal road until you reach the beach area. Free shaded parking is usually available along the roadside near the entrance.
By Public Transport: Public transport options in this part of Corsica are limited, and there is typically no direct stop at the beach. Visitors usually travel to Porto-Vecchio first and then continue by taxi, rental car, or local shuttle services.
By Foot: From the roadside parking or campsite area, short sandy paths lead directly through the dunes to the beach. A small coastal trail also runs along the shoreline and continues toward a nearby Genoese tower, passing smaller hidden beaches along the way.
